FYROM to pass draft amendments as soon as possible

first_img Facebook Twitter: @NeosKosmos Instagram After the vote in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia Parliament last Saturday which ratified the agreement with Greece to change FYROM’s name and constitution, Zoran Zaev’s government now wishes to move ahead with reforms to the laws as soon as possible. However, according to a statement made by government representative Mile Bosnjakowski on Wednesday, no actual time frame can be given as to when the new draft amendments will be brought to the table in order for the constitution to be changed: “There is intensive work on the constitutional amendments, but we do not have a specific date on their completion. However, as you already know, we would like to shorten the time frame as much as possible, forwarding the amendments to Parliament as soon as possible.”The FYROM government wants these procedures to move forward quickly so that they can wrap up the agreement with Greece. These changes will need to be voted by all lawmakers in the country.last_img
