Not a whole lot has actually changed on the map. We now have Dusty Depot instead Dusty Divot, which was teased ahead of the season’s release. But the biggest change is the addition of Rift Zones.Rift Zones”The Zero Point Explosion has made the island volatile! Locations once thought to be lost are beginning to appear, but they aren’t the same as they once were… Drop in and explore to discover what mysterious gameplay changes they have in store.” (Epic Games) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/3d/62/ultima-knight-ftr_e30ftpl5tbw81na2f741oblga.png?t=1292903980&w=500&quality=80 (Epic Games) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/d4/aa/fortnite-season-10-skins_19fk407qcor9u162olcnkrnz74.jpg?t=1293049028&w=500&quality=80 (Epic Games) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/3b/43/fortnite-season-10-changes_qhp5c8yfkf0m1tlucpm7tuvj8.png?t=1292692044&w=500&quality=80 (Epic Games) https://images.daznservices.com/di/library/sporting_news/bf/1b/fortnite-season-10-map_7itlt76ui1vn1wt110xxxsbyv.png?t=1292485604&w=500&quality=80 MissionsNew to the Battle Pass this season are Missions. Missions will allow you to unlock rewards by completing a series of thematic objectives that will send you on adventures across the Island. As you complete these objectives, you’ll earn Battle Stars, XP, and exclusive cosmetic items. Fortnite Season 10 patch notesAs we mentioned before, the addition of the B.R.U.T.E. is easily one the main new features of Season 10.Here’s how Epic Games describes it:Few suits make you feel as powerful as a mech suit does. In this two-person vehicle, players can control its movement while their partner controls its firepower. Those feeling extra adventurous can operate it solo by switching between moving and shooting! And some additional features of the B.R.U.T.E.:This vehicle can be operated by up to two players. If two players are operating it, one (the driver) controls movement, while the other (the gunner) rains down missiles and shotgun shots. The driver is able to: Dash into combat, Super Jump to victory, Stomp enemies and structures into the ground (Anything you would normally harvest will grant materials when destroyed)The passenger has two weapons at their disposal: a shotgun and a missile launcher.Shotgun: Clip Size: 10, Damage: 50, Headshot Multiplier: 1.5xMissile Launcher: Fires up to 10 missiles at once, Holding down Trigger will begin loading missiles, After releasing Trigger, or after 10 missiles have been loaded, all missiles will automatically fire.New Mechanic: Overshield: Consumes 200 of any Material type to create a personal overshield for 5 seconds to protect you in the mech.Vaulted from the game are:BallerQuad CrasherFlint Knock PistolShadow BombSemi-Auto SniperTactical Assault RifleMounted TurretAir StrikeItemized Glider RedeployAs you can obviously tell, a lot of mobility has been removed from the game. No more Baller, Quad Crasher or Glider Redeploy. In explaining this move, Epic Games says: “Over time, we have added many mobility options, both itemized and map-based. We feel that Season X is better experienced with a reduction in mobility. As with all changes, we’ll keep a close eye on how this affects the player experience.”There were also a few bug fixes and a few changes made to Arena Game Mode. For the full rundown, you can visit Epic Games’ release.Fortnite Season 10 Map Fortnite Season 10 Battle PassThe Fortnite Season 10 Battle Pass offers vver 100 exclusive rewards to unlock. It costs the same 950 V-bucks and will get you the X-Lord and Catalyst Outfits instantly. As you continue to level up, you’ll unlock more rewards such as dual pickaxes, emotes, loading screens, outfit styles, and more. At Tier 100, you’ll unlock the Ultima Knight Outfit. In addition to everything that’s new, there’s also plenty of things that are now gone (RIP Ballers). The Zero Point Explosion has also led to a few map changes, most notably the introduction of Rift Zones. It also sounds like Epic Games plans on changing things up quite a bit throughout Season 10 as the narrator in the trailer video says, “The world you play today may not be the world you play tomorrow.”We’ll now dive in to more detail with all of these changes. After a lot of anticipation, Season 10 (or Season X) of Fortnite is finally here, and it offers a lot of changes. The most notable change is the addition of the new mech vehicle, called B.R.U.T.E. The B.R.U.T.E. is a giant robot you can walk around in and shoot rockets out of. If it sounds ridiculous in text, that’s because it actually is ridiculous in gameplay. We have more details on the B.R.U.T.E. later in this post.
